Candidate filing is underway for the Feb. 2, 2016 Lucerne Valley Unified School District Special Recall Election and will continue through 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.
The Special Recall Election is being held because proponents successfully submitted a petition to conduct a recall election for board member Dawn Turnbull.
The recall election ballot will consist of two sections. In the first section, voters will be asked whether they want to recall the board member. In the second section, voters will be given the option of voting for a successor. Voters may vote for a successor regardless of their vote for or against the recall.
Registered voters in the Lucerne Valley Unified School District, who are interested in being a candidate, may obtain and file the appropriate documents at the San Bernardino County Elections Office, 777 E. Rialto Avenue in San Bernardino from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
